Ways to join us

We admit that we do not have a long list of events. We are very intentional about only offering the events and activities that will help people connect with God and with each other. A major part of that goal is to be involved in activities that bring multiple generations together.

With that in mind, below you will find some places to connect with us, as well as useful information about opprotunities and events!

Christmas Eve Services : : December 24 : : 4pm or 5:30pm

Invite your family and friends to worship with your FCC family and we will celebrate the birth of our Savior together! Childcare will be available for children 3 and under.

Traditions Message Series

Have you ever wondered why some Christmas traditions exist? Stockings, candles, holly and mistletoe? How did these come to be part of our decorations and celebrations? Are they just something we do, or were they intended to help us focus on Jesus? (Hint: it’s probably about Jesus.)

Prepare for Christmas by learning to see Jesus in places other than just the manger. Learn to see Him in many of the traditions of the season. Together we can help keep our eyes on our King everywhere we look.
Join us for Traditions:

Sundays at 9am or 10:30am : : November 30, December 7, 14 & 21

Christmas Eve Worship Services : : December 24 at 4pm or 5:30pm

Thanksgiving/Year-end Offering

First Christian Church’s Mission Statement closes with a focus on reaching “…the Next Generation!” Our Church is Kind of a Big Deal message series recently ended with Brian Gorman laying out some future big deal adventures. He invited us on behalf of some of our young families, Elders and Staff to join in a year-end effort to raise the funds to make a place for the young and their friends, as well as parents and grandparents, to connect all week long FCC’s property.

It all started with some excited young moms came to the staff asking if we could raise funds for a place where:

*Kids could meet other kids & play safely on our beautiful property.
*Parents could mingle and connect while their kids played.
*Play dates draw others together from our church and community.
*Families could hang out after services for cookouts and play time.
*Our community sees just how much FCC cares about kids and families!

We all agreed!  It is time!  Many of our Thanksgiving and year-end offerings have provided relief to the storm-ravaged, help to the homeless and even built training centers in India!  This year, we are inviting you to the challenge of taking a big step to reach young families right here with a Thanksgiving/Year-end offering of $35,000!

Imagine:
*A long-lasting metal & plastic playground in safe rubber mulch surrounded by benches & eventual fence.
*Kids climbing, swinging, sliding and even falling on safe mulch!
*Uninhibited parents & kids drawn to fun play time on church property.
*Moms & dads interacting with each other, their kids & county neighbors.

Ask God:
*God, can You help me make the “Next Generation Playground” happen?
*God, can I be one of those giving $50
*God, can I be one of those giving $100.
*God, can I be one of those giving $500
*God, can I be one of those giving $1,000.
*God, can I be one of those giving $5,000.
*God, can You help me make it happen by  Thanksgiving or \year-end?

Together: We will do what it takes to reach the “Next Generation!”

FCC's Compassion & Justice Christmas Store : : December 14 is the LAST DAY!

FCC’s Compassion & Justice Christmas Store was created to provide unique, meaningful, and remarkable Christmas gifts that are fun to give, great to receive and help someone suffering in poverty, slavery, or hunger around the world. Since 2010, the Christmas Store has raised over $60,000 in sales that went directly back to the organizations we hosted. The Store’s mission is to not only provide direct support to the organizations and the people they help, but to educate our congregation and community at large on these organizations and their mission, while providing gifts that mean something. The LAST DAY for sales is December 14 from 10am-12:30pm.

Organizations we are helping to bring awareness to and support through the Store this year:

My Journey

"We are a growing family on a journey with God" Wouldn't it be nice to know more about our family? It doesn't matter how long you've been a part of our family, we would like to know more about you and your journey. Sharing your journey can help to encourage, to inspire and to move others closer to Christ. Personal testimonies can be very powerful in helping people understand who Christ is and how. We would like to video record you sharing your journey with us. Your video will be added to this website and our Facebook page, or shared on a Sunday morning with our church family. Email your story or questions to myjourney@kenoshafcc.com, pick up a form from the Information Center or contact Peggy LeMay at 262.652.3908 for more information.
